Piazza San Marco
Napoleon called this open square in the middle of Venice the "drawing room" of Europe. It boasts some amazing architecture including the Campanile (bell tower) in the center of the piazza. I didn't have time to explore the inside of these historical buildings but will surely make a repeat visit when I come back to Venice at the end of my trip.
