Roma Roma

I made it to Rome in the early evening and had time to walk around Ancient Rome. All I can say is that the sight of ruins and towering bricks is jaw-dropping. And then I came upon the Colosseum and let me tell you, seeing this history-filled and blood-stained (not actually, but I can surely imagine) ampitheater definitely takes you back in time. For a second, I forgot when and where it was; all I wanted to do was imagine what it would be like to have lived in Rome, let's say, in the 9th century.
Once the initial shock had passed, I started to notice how difficult crossing the street was. There are crosswalks but cars are literally coming at you from every which direction (just check out the picture!). I gotta pay less attention to my blackberry while I'm in Rome.
