Stuff I've learned about Vietnamese culture

*Practical lifestyle; the majority do not chase after brand names and luxury items.
*Most do not have air conditioning in their homes due to the high cost of electricity. As a result, many like to go out for beers after work to keep cool longer before heading home for dinner. Also, on hot days, people like to ride their motorcycles to cruise the streets to keep cool. Apparently the government even told its people that the more electricity they use, the more expensive it'll be.
*Eating raw vegetables (ie. In salads) and drinking coffee are from French influences.
*The main mode of transportation is motorcycles. Even rich families with cars don't drive them around that often due to narrow streets.
