Afraid of the dark?

My parents decided last year to buy an apartment in Beijing; it's more convenient for us whenever we visit and it's a good thing to have if and when any of us decide to engage in extended stays in Beijing. We bought a 2 bedroom in a brand new development on the outskirts of the city. In Beijing, when you buy a piece of new property, you literally just buy that piece of property. You don't get much with it - like doors, finished walls, or flooring. So, it creates this hot market for what they call "renovations." People end up spending almost what they pay for the property on the various renovations.

It's been over a year and our apartment is finally "renovated." I went to see it for the first time and was quite impressed with the size of the place. Definitely bigger than the average 2-bedroom New York apartment. But what I was most dazzled by was the built-in night light that came with all the doors. It makes it easier (and safer) for that late night bathroom deposit, midnight snack, or after dark rendez-vous..ooh la la.

Aww where is the MTV Cribs style walk through of the place. I love the door night light.
