Trevi Fountain (of people)

My next stop was the Trevi Fountain, Rome's most celebrated fountain built in the 1700's. It was beautiful but also a shit show of people. It reminded me of Rockefeller Center around Christmas. I snapped a couple pics and was outtie!

It's like Christmas...except in August...and in Beijing

It really does feel like it's a major holiday here in Beijing. There are lights and pretty shiny things everywhere, even on the highways. The residents are also feeling the holiday spirit. Most have 8/8 (opening ceremony) off and some even have half of 8/7 off. Shops are closed on 8/8 and families are stocking up on food as we speak. The supermarkets are packed with shoppers. You know what I want for this August Christmas in Beijing? Rain! Please rain. Seriously. Any day now.
